Great rifle/pistol/shotgun ranges. Just make sure to bring a target stand!
Best place to shoot in the area. $10 per day, or $ 50 for a yearly pass currently. Has I believe 12 rifle shooting benches. 100 Yard range. 2 Shotgun clay shooting stations. Pistol range supports 9 -10 shooters with a 50 yard range. Be prepared, you need to have a target stand with the Center of the target at least 52 " from the ground. Don't bring a stand that you plan to stake in the ground, it will not work and you look like a fool...you know who you are. Also has an archery range and a host of other activities, however, I just shoot.

Great shooting range. Range officers ensure safety and remain decent. One even let me borrow his target stand when we realized mine wasn't allowed.
The forest is large and offers some user specific features. There's a rifle range for target practice, a park with a trail for hiking on Old Elk Neck Road and the forest extends into Elk Neck State Park where there are beautiful views of the bay below the cliff and a walking trail to Turkey Point Lighthouse at the southernmost point of Elk Neck Peninsula. The park includes a campground and swimming area. Seasonal hunting in designated areas is available. A hike to the lighthouse should be a bucket list item for everyone. There are vehicle trips for special events that may be suited to handicapped visitors.
