Everyone who works are really nice and accommodating. My group was only eating began with fish so tell food wasn't the greatest for us but the other food looked good. Rooms were clean and there was room service everyday. Very nice clean place.
Sandy Cove is a lovely haven on the shore of the North East river that offers an exceptional array of activities. Food is served buffet style. Cabins are available in the campground, two styles to choose from as well as a full campground. Multiple swimming pools, tennis, Frisbee golf, basketball, mini-golf, ice cream shop and lots of water activities.
I love it here! I have been 3 times so far. I am headed there again this week for Girl's Night Out and a Day Off event. It is so quiet and peaceful no the food is some of the best ever! I especially enjoy the prayer room downstairs which has the Stations of the Cross. Perfect get-away location.
The location of the place was right on the water which makes for a beautiful and relaxing view. The staff was very nice and accommodating to our groups specific needs. The food was a 7/10 but that is only because we requested strictly vegan food which is extremely hard to make. However, there was another group that was there and the food they had looked delicious. The beds we're extremely comfortable. Most hotels don't even have that nice of a bed. Overall great experience and place can't wait to come back next year.
Great for a solo excursion, family or couple. There are group programs as well as the availability to host your own function.
I have been visiting Sandy Cove Ministries for the last few years. Each year they have been upgrading and improving the facilities, environment, and culture of it. The new modern look has given it great appeal for overnight guests, the environment is Christ centered (which allows you to get alone with God to focus and rejuvenate your faith), and the culture is driven by the staff that manage and prepare for each (guest, group, or event) that arrives. The event Coordinating staff strives to make the guest feel welcomed from the very moment you arrive to follow-up once you leave. Food is excellent! The Audio/Video staff take pride in what they do. Sandy Cove allows families to bring back and further that "being a family" feeling we are looking for and sometimes just need to rejuvenate. I recommend this God given "Resort" to anyone who is look for a place of solitude for your family, friends, or church group. I can not say enough about this place!
